Reus is taking another step towards digital transformation with the REUS ECON DATA NEXUS (RED-N) project. The initiative aims to make better use of data to support the city’s economic development and create new opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs.

The project has a total investment of more than €2.36 million, including €945,571.23 in public funding awarded through Red.es and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The remaining investment will be covered by Reus City Council.

What does the project involve? It will collect and integrate information about the urban and economic environment, turning it into useful insights through advanced data analysis, artificial intelligence and digital twins. This information will support the development of new digital services for businesses, entrepreneurs, residents and public administration.

The aim is to make data a practical tool for improving decision-making, encouraging innovation and strengthening the competitiveness of local businesses. The project also seeks to create new economic opportunities and help position Reus as a more innovative city, better prepared for the challenges of the digital age.
